Frequently asked questions.

How much does it cost?

Our pricing is depending on the size of the tattoo(s). Best way to get an accurate quote is to come in and have us measure them. If you want a ballpark estimate check out our pricing page below

How many treatments will I need?

Even though we have a lot of experience with all kinds of tattoos it is nearly impossible to guess how many treatments you will need so we won’t even try to guess. Theres a lot of factors that can determine that number (type of ink, ink application, ink saturation, ink depth, overall health, lifestyle and many more). We will give you a range of how many we expect depending on appearance, details about the tattoo and your health.

Do you guarantee the number of treatments it will take to remove my tattoo?

Piggy backing on the question above we can’t determine from the start how many it will take. BUT we do offer packages to suit each persons end goal.

What will aftercare be like?

Aftercare is ironically very similar to when you applied the tattoo. You want to keep the tattoo clean and moisturized for around 5-7 days until the tattoo is back to normal. We will go over aftercare in detail after your 1st treatment.

Will I get blisters?

Blistering can happen but it is not like an ordinary shoe blister. These blisters are very superficial and will in most cases subside back into the skin within a few days. We will give you detailed instructions on how to care for your tattoo which will include blister care as well.

Do I need to stay out of the sun?

Pretty please stay out of the sun. We suggest at the very least 10 days out of the sun after your treatments. But If you can avoid it we would prefer you keep the tattoo out of the sun throughout the entire process. Since we know this is unlikely we suggest to make applying sunscreen a ritual. A mineral based sunscreen (zinc oxide or titanium dioxide) is the best to block out UV rays but traditional sunscreen can be used as long as it is 50 SPF or above. If going for a swim or going to be in the sun for a long period of time we suggest covering the tattoo with Hy-Tape, it is a waterproof Zinc infused Medical tape, it can be purchased on Amazon.

Can I go swimming?

Avoid swimming or submerging in water for at least 10 days after treatments. We suggest this to avoid possible sources of infection. Showering is fine and the tattoo can be washed with a mild soap (preferably fragrance free).

Can I go to the gym or work out after treatments?

We suggest to take a rest day on the day of your treatment. Sweating is not a problem but when you work out and get your blood pumping it can increase the swelling in the area. The day after your treatment you are fine to work out as long as you clean the tattoo after getting your sweat on.

Do I need to use antibacterial soap or cream?

Nope. We suggest a mild soap without heavy fragrances, and we do give you everything you will need for aftercare after your first treatment.

Does it hurt?

Not going to sugar coat it, it’s not a spa like experience. It feels similar to rubber band snaps BUT on the plus side most tattoos can be treated within 1 minute. Larger tattoos may take 2-5 minutes of actual laser time. We do use ice packs before and after your treatment and a Cryo 6 Cold air machine during the treatment to help with any discomfort. Pain scale is around the same as getting the tattoo so we know you can do this!

What laser do you use?

We use a Candela Picoway laser. It’s the best picosecond technology for tattoo removal.

What kind of training do you need to be able to do this?

We are laser technicians and laser safety officers. We train with the manufacturer of the laser and have to do hundreds of hours of practical training. We began our laser technician career in 2015 so besides the initial training we had to do, we have done countless amounts of treatments since then. We do have a Licensed Medical Director on staff that oversees all protocols are met and is on call should the need arise.

Can I just drop by?

It is best to make an appointment. We want to make sure we have enough time to answer all of your questions and we don’t want to have to rush through your treatment. We do offer a no obligation consultation where you can ask us anything your heart desires!
